our solution for

Transport for NSW - Inner West Portal

The Inner West Portal is all in one easy to access platform for community to discover, share and connect with Transport projects in their neighbourhood.

The challenge

Bring an ’all-projects’ approach to the local residents rather than an individual project level.

Our solution

The portal we created is visually striking with hero imagery and personalised approach to choose what is most of interest when you first land. The dynamic suburb element also adds additional visual interest.

The portal offers an interactive project map, news and updates about local transport infrastructure works (such as walking and cycling paths, ferry and station upgrades, road safety projects and community events), along with opportunities to subscribe for updates and provide feedback to help shape planning and delivery. The site also provides context about the Inner West’s community character and how transport improvements are intended to support connections, accessibility and local placemaking.

By exploring the map you can see individual project which is represented by a clickable dot. When the project is selected, further information is provided to the user in the side bar and a pop-up. The portal also includes pages for community forum and a place for stakeholders to subscribe for updates and provide valuable feedback.

from our clients

They were committed to accuracy and no ask was too hard

Spatial Media understood our brief to a tee and delivered a high quality animation and renders to bring our project to life for the community. Despite a short timeframe, we were given multiple opportunities to provide feedback and suggest changes, all of which were easily understood and promptly actioned. Isaac and the team were flexible, responsive and hit every deadline. They were committed to accuracy and no ask was too hard. The end product will be a centrepiece for communicating our project to the public.
