The site needed to bring together project overviews, an interactive map of current and planned transport infrastructure, news updates and strategic vision materials to communicate integrated transport delivery and precinct outcomes. Designed for broad stakeholder engagement, it needed to make complex planning information accessible through intuitive visuals and dynamic content that highlights key initiatives like the M12 motorway, new bus services and metro connections.
Spatial Media produced the interactive portal as well as interactive visuals and animations making it easier for both the project team and community to explore how individual projects relate to the wider precinct vision, helping users understand sequencing, status and geographic context. By clearly presenting existing, planned and under‑construction elements of transport infrastructure, the site supports transparency and places technical planning data into an accessible, engaging format.
For the project team, the platform acts as a centralised communication tool that reduces repetitive queries and strengthens the consistency of messaging across all stakeholders. The integration of animated elements and custom visuals enhances user engagement, making complex infrastructure concepts more intuitive and memorable. By enabling stakeholders to interact with the map and visual content, the portal supports informed community feedback and contributes to more meaningful consultation outcomes.
Overall, this digital presence helps align expectations, fosters trust through openness and showcases the scale and ambition of the precinct’s long‑term strategic vision.
