Inside Spatial Media’s 2026 Team Conference

Spatial Media’s team conference came together to align 2026 priorities - strengthening collaboration, innovation and connection to deliver impactful digital engagement solutions.

Earlier this month, we gathered the Australian Spatial Media team in Brisbane for a few days of strategy, collaboration and reflection as we align our priorities for 2026. Across project showcases, planning sessions and open conversations about where our industry is heading, the focus was simple: how we continue to innovate while delivering meaningful impact for the communities and clients we work with.

We love when our team gets together, and this time was especially exciting as we had two of our Canadian based Directors, Morley and Aaron, make the journey down under to connect with our Aussie team.

As a remote agency from the beginning to now over a decade, we know that the most valuable moments often happen outside the conference formal meeting agenda. An Amazing Race challenge across Howard Smith Wharves, sunset over the Story Bridge, a round of lawn bowls, and plenty of shared laughter created the kind of connections that strengthen how we work together in different timezones and when we’re hundreds (or thousands) of kilometres apart.

For remote teams, these moments aren’t just social activities. They’re an important investment in trust, creativity and collaboration. When people feel connected, ideas flow more freely, challenges are solved faster, and teams are better equipped to take on complex projects.

As we look ahead to a busy year of new work supporting communication, engagement and training, it’s these moments of connection that help ensure our team remains aligned, energised and ready to deliver.

Thank you to everyone for an amazing team conference!

I would strongly recommend them

We have engaged Spatial Media to deliver digital marketing on multiple projects across multiple states and the results have been nothing short of excellent. The broad praise from all who view their video productions is unanimous and highly complementary. The collaboration with the client to ensure content is both relevant and accurate is a hallmark of the service and for anyone requiring this very specialised service I would strongly recommend them as representing both value and spectacular outcome.

They were committed to accuracy and no ask was too hard

Spatial Media understood our brief to a tee and delivered a high quality animation and renders to bring our project to life for the community. Despite a short timeframe, we were given multiple opportunities to provide feedback and suggest changes, all of which were easily understood and promptly actioned. Isaac and the team were flexible, responsive and hit every deadline. They were committed to accuracy and no ask was too hard. The end product will be a centrepiece for communicating our project to the public.

Innovative tools developed by the team set a new benchmark

Spatial Media Team played a pivotal role in delivering a range of multi-million-dollar public realm projects, including cycle paths, road and intersection upgrades, and active reserve improvements. Their ability to produce highly detailed and realistic renders, actively participate in workshops, and rapidly refine designs (even with minimal background information) was exceptional. The level of professionalism and attention to detail they provided to the council as the client was truly outstanding. I have already recommended their services to colleagues across the State and look forward to future collaborations. The innovative 3D products and interactive spatial consultation tools developed by the team set a new benchmark for community engagement and project delivery. I would strongly encourage integrating this approach into future projects to enhance clarity, mitigate risks, and build greater confidence among all stakeholders.
