our solution for

Snowy Hydro Digital EIS

Increasing public understanding and awareness in an engaging and dynamic way

The challenge

Spatial Media was engaged by Snowy Hydro to produce and deliver their official website. Beginning with construction of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-electric Scheme in 1949, Snowy Hydro has been providing Australians with integrated energy for almost 70 years. With a significant amount of content spread across easy-to-navigate sections, the Snowy Hydro website offers users quick access to the information they’re looking for.

Our solution

The client wanted to gauge perceptions of local communities towards the project, including concerns and expectations, to identify key issues and opportunities for residents, local government, businesses and stakeholders in the region.

This interactive engagement portal seeks to inform users about the process undertaken to create the detailed study, and its subsequent findings.

The dynamic EIS map produced shows the extent of the study and exploratory works. Hotspots reveal key information points via text descriptions or visuals and there is extensive additional information for community to explore.
