our solution for

Landcom's former Bulli Hospital site housing development

Supporting Landcom's development application stage and community consultation for the former Bulli Hospital site housing development

The challenge

Provide further information on the proposed plans for the Bulli development and considerations in planning.

Our solution

Landcom approached Spatial Media to develop an interactive innovative way to display key information on their proposed plans to transform the former Bulli Hospital site. The solution developed was a virtual engagement space that would coincide with Council's public exhibition of their development application. The virtual engagement space could talk through the proposal in an easy to understand way with key headings and points of interest of the process, timeline, history and planning factors to navigate and highlight the benefits of the development.

The project also planned to feature new green spaces for the community to relax, native landscaping, and through-site pedestrian connections which were being shaped by public feedback through the consultation process which is demonstrated in the virtual space. The room contains an introduction video including piece to camera from the development director to provide a relatable welcome and introduce the virtual space concept.

They were committed to accuracy and no ask was too hard

Spatial Media understood our brief to a tee and delivered a high quality animation and renders to bring our project to life for the community. Despite a short timeframe, we were given multiple opportunities to provide feedback and suggest changes, all of which were easily understood and promptly actioned. Isaac and the team were flexible, responsive and hit every deadline. They were committed to accuracy and no ask was too hard. The end product will be a centrepiece for communicating our project to the public.
