Metro Tunnel Visualisations

Melbourne’s Metro Tunnel designs and future unveiled to the public

The challenge

Create accurate visualisations of the station designs and engage commuters with the future, helping them understand the hive of construction activity happening underneath the city.

Our solution

Melbourne's Metro Tunnel project completion in December 2025 was highly anticipated by the public, and we’re proud to have played our role in supporting the project teams. Spatial Media played a key role in visualizing Melbourne's Metro Tunnel project, creating 3D models and animations to help stakeholders and the public understand the complex new underground stations and tunnels during construction, enhancing engagement and showcasing the future transport network, from concept to the completed, art-filled stations now open for service.

Spatial Media created many accurate 3D models and animation as well still imagery outputs of new stations like Anzac and Parkville as well as Campbell Arcade to help stakeholders visualise the changes, benefits and project vision. Spatial Media's digital work brought the Metro Tunnel's complex infrastructure and design to life, serving as a crucial communication tool for the Victorian Government's "Big Build" to engage the public with a significant urban development,
