Visualising Wentworthville Centre Proposal

The Wentworthville Centre Planning Proposal and the draft development controls are needed to support the revitalisation of Wentworthville Centre, and reflect Council’s adopted Wentworthville Planning and Place Making Strategy

The challenge

Enabling users to easily explore the proposal options and visual changes for Wentworthville Centre's revitalisation planning proposal.

Our solution

The Wentworthville Centre is Cumberland’s second largest commercial centre located close to Westmead Health and Education Precinct and the Parramatta CBD and is highly accessible to the Great Western Highway, M4 Motorway, Wentworthville Railway Station and the Liverpool to Parramatta Transitway. Council needed a clear way to demonstrate the options and changes to community and key stakeholders and showcase artist impressions from key locations across the precinct.

Spatial Media developed a custom portal page and using an interactive slider tool enabled community to see side by side current, option 1 and option 2 from an aerial view to articulate the planning control changes clearly and easily. The tool enables the user to toggle between different options and view hotspots with 3D images of the proposed changes integrated into one clean interface.
