Floods don’t affect everyone in the same way — the impacts can be very different depending on where you live and the videos needed to accurately and quickly show that to viewers
We developed in partnership with the NSW Reconstruction Authority and NSW SES Volunteers Association and in consultation with local councils and the community a series videos that explain local catchment differences and river systems and why it floods.
The visuals depict region-specific real flood data visualisations that are working in tandem with accurate 3D terrain to create the best visual representation possible. This improved access to localised information in the catchment videos will make it easier for residents to understand their flood risk and take practical steps to prepare.
